The abbreviation X2C stands for the name of the company extocode GmbH. It reflects our company's goal of integrating complex infrastructure systems from different manufacturers and bringing them together on a single central platform. Here, the "X" symbolically represents the various systems and manufacturers that are connected, while "2C" stands for "to Central," meaning the central platform, or central dashboard, developed by extocode.
The Idea Behind X2C
Customers faced the problem of having to use a wide variety of different systems and tools to keep their IT infrastructure running. These systems included, among others, documentation systems, CMDBs, password managers, network frameworks, various network manufacturers, NAC systems, monitoring systems, and maintenance calendars. This fragmented landscape led to inefficient processes, information silos, and increased administrative overhead.
Out of this need arose the idea of developing a unified dashboard that integrates all of these different systems and makes the most important information available in one central place. This solution was intended not only to increase efficiency and clarity, but also to considerably simplify IT support.
